The New Frontiersmen are a superhero team of my own creation, whom I envision as a kind of counterpart to the Justice League of America and the Avengers. They are led by Brother Jonathan, an American patriot who enlisted in the Continental Army in 1775 and whose love of country is so strong that it has kept him young and vital for 234 years since then, during which time he has become the greatest marksman in the world, a formidable soldier equivalent to a one-man battalion trained in nearly every warfighting discipline known to man (his uniform is that of a Continental sergeant major with a Viet Nam era ALICE pack and an M14). The heavy hitters are Everyman, the mute spirit of the hard-working common man (he has no flesh because anyone could be Everyman, regardless of race, color, or origin), and Santa Claus, the miracle-working, space/time defying bishop and saint who knows when you are sleeping and when you are awake, as well as whether you've been bad or good. More subtle operators are Chantilly Lace, the telepath and owner of the team's advanced flying saucer (her origins and how she came to possess the flying saucer remain unknown; she is wearing a Navy G-1 flight jacket), and Schrödinger's Cat, a superintelligent cat with poorly understood quantum powers (although she understands human languages, she is in fact a cat and cannot speak except to mew). The black-garbed Inquisitor complements Brother Jonathan by bringing his near-superhuman fighting prowess and tremendous intimidation -- he is known throughout the underworld as the Holy Terror -- and Jack of All Trades has endless versatility, as well as offering the latest in bleeding-edge technological advances due to his spectacular wealth and penchant for upgrading himself (he began life as a wristwatch, but aspired to so much more). Captain Kingmaker is a consummate professional commando and one of the finest dogfighters in the world; quite the ladies' man, he is also independently wealthy and good friends with several powerful political figures on the beltway (his continued ignorance of the fact that he is an enormous carnivorous dinosaur is a source of endless bafflement to his teammates).
